Kimblewick Equestrian Centre Celebrates 20 Year Anniversary.

FMr Williams - The Perfect Horse

Kimblewick Equestrian Centre, based in Norfolk is set to mark its 20th Anniversary, with a day of special events planned for Sunday, July 1st.

The centre was founded by the Moore family in 1998 and is now one of the oldest and most respected riding schools in Dereham and the surrounding area.

Located in beautiful countryside, the centre provides expert tuition for riders of all abilities, from complete beginners to competition riders. After gaining its Accessibility Mark accreditation in June 2016, the centre extended its services to disabled riders, priding itself on tailoring riding opportunities to the needs of the individual, helping them set and achieve personal goals.

The Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), in partnership with the British Equestrian Federation (BEF), launched the revolutionary Accessibility Mark scheme to work with commercial riding centres with the aim of getting more disabled people to participate in riding.

To celebrate their anniversary, the centre is planning a Fun Day packed full of activities including pony rides, activity rides, a car boot sale, raffle and auction of lots.

It is hoped people will dig deep in their pockets when the auction gets underway, with a number of fantastic lots available to bid on. Currently in the auction are, a weekend for eight in a luxury caravan on Caister Haven site, a year's gym membership at NR Health and Fitness club, full car MOT at Howard's Dereham, and a block of 10 riding lessons at Kimblewick Equestrian Centre.

There will be a focus throughout the day on promoting Accessibility Mark to help raise awareness of the scheme within the local community and it is hoped that some of the centre's current Accessibility Mark riders will perform a display ride.

Centre Manager Nikkita Moore said: "We are proud of how the centre has evolved over the 20 years we have been in business and hope to welcome everyone to our Fun Day to help us celebrate this landmark anniversary."

Two charities have been chosen to benefit from funds raised by the Fun Day -Scotty's Little Soldiers, a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people who have lost a parent while serving in the British Armed Forces, and The British Horse Society.

The gates open at 9am when the selling starts at the car boot sale, so get there early to grab a bargain!
