BW 16 Yateley / BW 11 Eversley known as Welsh Drive

Bob Milton writes to Phil Allen, Hampshire County Council

"Whilst I am always on the side of negotiating for the best, this has been going on for 23 years"

Says Bob Milton

Says Bob Milton Whilst I am always on the side of negotiating for the best this has been going on for 23 years in the case of the Common Trust since the Court Order and longer with respect to Sims metal site, the blocking of Welsh Drive and the appropriation of the common for highway purposes without exchange land. You are now in receipt of a legal notice which cannot be prioritised away.

As for the many positive improvements to the network these are the normal everyday duty of the department but do not appear on any list nor have you sort to make them public as I have not had any notification for any thing in North Hampshire other than the ill advised Yateley common diversion plan which does nothing for equestrians nor does it take into account the status of the land over which the rights of way run and is dependent on the diversion of Welsh Drive onto the restored 138 acres of common.

I sent you a copy of an email from Wendy Kops on the 4th October [BW4b heckfield] which has not had a reply nor has anything been done to rectify the position of the dangerous access. This issue has been outstanding since the 80’s.

I have likewise not heard any more about the Greater Hart countryside route which was proposed with Adam Green of Hart DC and had your support as it was something that fitted in with the ROWIP.

Just to remind you of the outstanding notice yet you continue to seek to engage with NE on the fencing and self closing gates project on this s193 equestrian access land with obstructed rights of way and misleading information as to equestrian rights to the local riders

I pine for a more sensible approach to saving our forests
