The imposition of a conservation agenda within the context of no research being undertaken on environmental impacts is potentially hugely destructive.Massive flaws exist in the current agri/env programme . These compromise culture,best practise,legality,access,sustainability,culture and heritage.

If the public are alienated so too is sustainability.

All Wildlife Trusts have been given a financial opportunity but this must NOT be interpreted as a one off opportunity for blanket imposition or natures resilience to change may be compromised.Mixed management,old skills and innovation must not be overlooked in the face of fiscal inducements.Time scales outside the 10 year grant periods are also of huge importance.Where are 25 year cycles?
