The BHS and Maureen Comber

How the BHS treats somebody who has been a loyal, dedicated and hard-working member for over 50 years.

DAY 13

It is now 13 days since the BHS shamefully dismissed Maureen Comber after more than 50-years of dedicated and hard-working service.

Maureen ComberStill no regret.

Still no sympathy.

Still no apology.

How long can the BHS continue to behave in this disgraceful manner?

Other hard-working BHS members and volunteers beware. This is obviously the way you are going to be treated one day.

Viv Lynch writes to Maureen Comber

"I've just read the disappointing news and sorry to hear it has resulted in this "

Says Viv Lynch

Hi Maureen,

I've just read the disappointing news and sorry to hear it has resulted in this outcome.

I do not know the full details so will not comment but suffice to say I think I nearly fell foul of the same thing over my stance on BOATS several years back.

Troth Wells, BHS Oxon writes to Maureen Comber

"You have been inspirational and hardworking for access, and I've enjoyed meeting you "

Says Troth Wells

I've just received an email saying that you are no longer an access officer or member of the Hants BHS committee. I don't know fully what the circs were, and there's no need for me to know, but just at a personal level I wanted to send you my good wishes and thank you for all you have done. You have been inspirational and hardworking for access, and I've enjoyed meeting you at Janice's, and of course at our PI training at Stoneleigh too.

"Do your duty and support your members rights, or extinguish BHS altogether. "

Says Tony Barnett

Says Tony BarnettMembers are entitled to seek clarification on matters of rights,it is called "Democracy", these rights are required to be employed when explanations fall on deaf ears.

No agreement or swearing on oath to secrecy can be forced on members not to disclose, as a charity/part time quango you should be aware of this.

Perhaps if, you served members correctly you would not need to afraid of publications, which by law may be printed in news outlets to either heap praise or to condemn you to the with the rest of the con artists, do your duty and support your members rights, or extinguish BHS altogether.

Members, are not given given as of right to meetings whether it be from their area or else where, it is not welcomed by secret societies to inform, Maureen has not part in disclosure, my time as a member of BHS allowed me information or where it CAN, be obtained, the segment on HT will remain, you may of course hire a barrister as you do not have a qualified legal person on public rights of way

'At what period in the Orwellian calendar are we living? "

Says Steve Yandall

Says Steve YandallAvoidance of accountability is such a huge issue in todays UK(and elsewhere) and without it i.e. scrutiny, assessment and appropriate follow up, democracy is a hollow shell and valueless.

I value, and miss, the memory I have of my grandfathers and fathers aspirations for which they risked their lives over two World Wars.

Why do I miss the memory? Because their dreams of freedom and equality have not been gifted to me, as a reality, and that fact devalues the sacrifices of so many! Nuff said.
